I believe it was installed along with a new roof, and it matches the awning on building one.

We recently got new parking lines in our office parking lot. Definitely much needed, because the old ones weren’t faded anymore they were non existent. I’m not sure if people were complaining or if the building owner just decided it was time.
Aside from making parking much easier it definitely gives the building a much more professional look to it. You have the cars parked in a nice orderly fashion rather than every which way like a demolition derby. It’s tough enough to get people to park properly with the lines to guide them, without those forget about it, its a nightmare.
So yeah, this was definitely a pleasant surprise.
