When I came into work today, I saw two Verizon trucks here at Cabot Place. It looked like they were installing new telephone poles here. Hopefully this is a step in the right direction for linking up our buildings with fiber. The sooner the better, I say. UPDATE Jan. 7, 2008: The Verizon trucks are right outside today connecting the pole in the Cabot Place courtyard the the pole across the street! Cool, very cool...
This is not a reply but really a question.
I live in Stoughton and have been trying to find out when Verizon FIOS (Phone, Internet & TV) will be available to residential homes.
No one seems to have an answer. I have submitted my phone # to see if qualified but reply states that FIOS is not yet available for my area.
Have you heard anything about this from your sources?

Hi Clive, thanks for asking. I believe that the Town of Stoughton has to approve the measure before Verizon can provide TV. The internet service should already be available, but it isn't available to the entire town yet. I know it is available around Stoughton Center and some areas of North Stoughton.
